Whatever your application, on site or in the laboratory, the Test & Measurement division can provide professional electricians and electronic engineers with hand-held instruments from the Chauvin Arnoux and Metrix brands.
The Qualistar + C.A 8335, the latest in the range of three-phase network and energy analysers, has been designed and developed entirely by the Chauvin Arnoux Group's engineering teams!
Ideal for the needs of inspection and maintenance teams: the Qualistar models are designed for quick network quality testing and simple processing of the results.
The keyboard is divided into several immediately identifiable areas (direct functions, pop-up menus, cursors, etc.) and the broad colour screen (diagonal 148 mm) uses the same pictograms as the keyboard.
The display modes are structured. These direct access possibilities help save additional time. The Qualistars are portable but can also be used on a benchtop with their retractable stand, which is useful for recording campaigns over long periods. Another extra feature on the new Qualistar+ involves using colour-coded rings fitted to each end of the leads to simplify identification of the connections.
All the Qualistar models measure all the voltage, current and power parameters required for full diagnosis of an electrical installation. The C.A 8335 simultaneously captures and records all the parameters, transients, alarms and wave forms. On all the models, the sensors connected are recognized automatically. The user selects the parameters to be recorded, displayed, etc. Real-time display of all 4 inputs simultaneously is available in graphic or vectorial mode, as well as in value-table format. Diagnosis of the harmonics, in expert mode, helps to analyse the effect of the harmonics on heating of the neutral or on rotating machinery.
The duration for recording the Inrush current, used in particular for correctly sizing an electrical installation, has been extended to more than one minute. With the Qualistar+, it is also possible to record the Min and Max values and capture up to 300 transients!
If users want to record all the parameters at a maximum rate of one sample per second, it is now possible to record data for up to 1 month with the Qualistar+!
The Qualistar+ also allows users to record up to 10,000 alarms of 40 different types.
View 2 distinct measurements simultaneously with the 10,000-count dual display
The MX670 (TRMS AC) and MX 675 (TRMS AC/DC) clamps can be used to measure currents up to 1,000 A and voltages up to 1,400 V. In multimeter mode, the MX 675 and MX 670 can measure voltages (AC & DC) and resistances, as well as testing diodes and continuity. In addition, they determine the frequencies of the voltages and currents. Temperature measurements are also possible with the K thermocouple sensor, covering a range from –40 °C to +1,200 °C.
Connect the SCOPEin@BOX oscilloscope to a PC and benefit from all the advantages of its Windows environment, its display capabilities and its storage capacity.
There are two models available: the MTX1052 with 2 input channels and the MTX1054 with 4 input channels.
Bandwidth 150 MHz

Also available in a 19” Rack version for system integration.
New: the multimeters with top metrological performance The C.A 5287 & C.A 5289 TRMS 600 V CAT IV multimeters are equipped with a 50,000-count dual display! The C.A 5287 (TRMS AC/DC) and C.A 5289 (TRMS AC+DC) offer high bandwidth (100 kHz for the C.A 5289) and a fast measurement rate. In addition to all the measurements offered by traditional multimeters (current, voltage, etc.), the C.A 5287 & C.A 5289 can be used to measure capacitance and temperature, by means of a thermocouple sensor (–200 °C to +1372 °C). 0-20 mA and 4-20 mA loop measurements are also available. The C.A 5289 also has a square-signal generator and a frequencymeter/meter.
